And Ibn Abee Haatim mentions from him (al-Asma'ee), with his isnaad from al-Asma'ee that he said:

The wife of Jahm [bin Safwaan] came and a man said in her presence, "Allaah is above His Throne", so she said, "One mahdood (confined, limited, bounded thing) upon another mahdood."

Al-Asma'ee said, "She is a disbeliever by this statement (of hers)".

And the Imaam of this statement "one mahdood upon another mahdood", is this man (Jahm) and his wife, and how befitting it is that:

He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! And his wife too, who carries wood. (Al-Masad 111:3-4)
